Cyrodiil Forums are back, now running on a new board engine. All previous user accounts, forums, topics and posts still remain, so in general the transition was successful. Some things did go wrong, however. These are simple instructions that you should follow to get back to posting on our board.

1) All passwords were reset, so you won’t be able to log in with your old pass. Use Password reminder to set up a new password.

2) All posts and texts with hyperlinks are now displayed with wrong HTML formatting. This shouldn’t be much of a problem, but if there were links or codes in your signature, you should edit it as soon as possible. If you wish some of your previous posts to have working links, contact moderators or edit them yourself.

Looks and features of the new board will improve in future, and your advice on what to improve is most welcome.

And, of course, Merry Christmas and the Happiest New Year to all our visitors! Don’t forget about Cyrodiil Chronicles in 2007, we will be expecting you back for more.

You guys don't know how to make a proper migration? I certainly hope we don't lose people.. In my company, one hour of downtime causes millions in losses. If every password was reset this would be a catastrophe.

Competition is fierce...

On the plus side, the new interface is awesome, and we get to keep the awesome moderators..

We are not a company. Unfortunately, my financial capabilities are rather limited, and I don't want to depend on ads to keep my sites online. As Discovery forums grew as large as 50,000 posts, I had to relocate the licensed Invision engine there. As for this forum, I'll have to stick to free message board engines. Of which, SimpleMachines seemed preferable one right now. I tried MyBB (and may even return to that one), but the converter appeared to be very buggy.

Converter I used here is also far from ideal, but at least all posts and members remain. Invision stores posts in HTML format for some reason, and the converter is unable to change HTML formatting into forum codes, so things like colored formatting, quotes and links don't display correctly. If I won't find any better options, I'll try to contact our moderators so that they edit most important/recent posts manually.

Please be patient.
