For all former moderators: please contact me at igissmail@gmail.com if you have any problems with the new board. For example, if you cannot log in or have no rights to edit others' posts.

We also need more temporary moderators who could help to clear the forum from excess quote and link codes. The job is real simple, but requires some patience and free time. If you are interested, please contact me using same mail address.

Is it possible to edit our own posts, or has that option been disallowed for the time being? In the help section it tells you how to do it but I don't see any "edit post" buttons. I'll gladly edit my own posts to proper formatting... if I get more time I'll even email you about helping out on some others... but first things first.

Maybe the edit-your-own-post option isn't checked off somewhere on your end yet?

Update:

The 'modify' button does show up... but only on new posts.

Looks like the setting is such that you can only edit a post for a limited time after you post it. Probably 2-3 hours max. Is there any way you can change it so that you can edit it any time but that it tells the reader that it has been edited. This is the most common way it has been done on other boards I've frequented. If it's just a preference to preserve the history of the board, I can understand that. Just because "everyone else" does it that way, doesn't mean it's the best way for us. If, however, you didn't realize the new board was doing it that way, I'm just calling attention to it.

I agree with Alcron (Can I call you that?), I think the edit post button should be on for longer, or turned on forever, cause I find it very helpful is situations like these where all the codes in the posts are messed up, and also I often find mistakes and errors in my own posts when re-reading days later, and I want to fix them. =P So yeah, it would be helpful if the modify button was availble at any time.
