This is the place for general discussion about past, current, or future Oblivion Screenshot Competitions. If you have a comment about your own or another users entry, this is the place to say it. You can also bring up possible ideas for future competitons.

Talk about anything related to the Oblivion Screenshot Competitions here. Do NOT clutter up the entry topics with unrelated posts, that's what this place is for. Enjoy.

Here are my runner up images from OSC-1. These three images ddn't quite make the cut.


Not quite as exciting as my real entry ... plus I was in sneak mode.


Lots of action but a little hard to read. I like the ghost, though.


Lots of magic effects but not enough action otherwise and not the best mood for battle. It's too nice a day. This is better described as an afternoon street brawl. This was my second choice, though.



I have a discussion question for everyone.
Do you think it's appropriate for a modderator to enter one of these screenshot competitions? Personally, I think it doesn't matter who enters because everyone's vote counts equally... but I could understand some possible objections to it. What do you all think? If anyone has an objection I'll gladly sit out when it comes time to vote. I think I'd still post entries every time but not allow myself into the voting. That way it could still be an encouragement for more people to enter and to give new ideas to people to help them make an entry. It's up to all of you to speak up and voice your opinion on this. This has to be decided before next Thursday so voting can begin as soon as possible after that.

I think anyone can have the right to compete, because its not like only one person will be deciding who wins and who doesn't. I don't really see why a moderator shouldn't be able to participate, especially if this is an open-poll voting kinda thing, not just a few judges.

Time is running out on the first ever Oblivion Screenshot Competition(OSC). I hope a few more people join. No offense to those who have already entered... but I think we can do better than this, citizens of Cyrodiil. There are less than seven (7) hours left to take a screenshot of Battle and submit it.

If anyone thinks there should be more time for these competitions, this is the board to bring it up. If you don't think a week is long enough, we can discuss it and possibly/probably change it for the next one.

Good entries so far. I just wish there would be more to vote on. It's not too late...yet.

Also, post your ideas here for themes you'd like to see in the future. Ideas for a possible prize? Let us know.

You can use screenshots you've posted before on the forums, as long as they fit all the other rules and, once we have more than one contest, you can't enter it in more than one OSC. Good luck.

I know, it was just a suggesion, but I didnt think it would ever expand like this! I like this idea; brings more o a reason of why to come to the cyrodiil forums evrey day.

Oh. Sorry, I either forgot or just plain missed it.

To repeat the question:

...Can I submit a screenie that has the same place, but in a different view?

My opinion is, that an entry is an entry and you only get one... but there is also a time limit. So, if you want to change your entry you can do so as long as you do it before the time limit is up. You must also delete your original entry, so that only one entry is in there when time is up.

I don't have a final say on this, really, as this is everyone's contest. Post your opinions here so we can figure out what the official rule should be.

And Alcron, you didn't specify whether I could submit the same scene, you only said I can only change my entry within the time limit.
