No Manix, it was a question. See the question mark? They go at the end of questions.
Your last entry in
this
thread
was
an opinion, that is what Manix thought you were referring to no doubt. He didn't know you meant from the Relax screenshot competition thread.

And Alcron, you didn't specify whether I could submit the same scene, you only said I can only change my entry within the time limit.
He basically said that it is allowed.

Oh, right. I meant my last screenshot entry. No matter, it's not of great importance.
And thanks for clearing up the second part.

Hmm, since we have just finished another round of the contest, I have a couple good ideas for themes.
And since this week is a cinematic theme, because last time was more 'artistic', I'll make my themes match that idea.
"Surprise"
"Wounded"
"Dread"
Hehe, those are the most 'catchy' ones that I can think of.

Here are a few more possible suggestions:
"Fear"
"Fright"
"Power"
"cold hearted"
"Majestic"
(and no need to limit yourselves to just one type of theme or another, we can use all good suggestions eventually. If you have an 'unrefined idea' *cough-"BAD"*, you can still post it here to help inspire other *cough-"BETTER"* ideas.)
[sorry, sore throat, there.
]
Also, I just thought of another idea. We could have a special pre-planned theme for some day off in the future, maybe for New Years or some other holiday for a harder to capture theme. I was thinking "Once In A Lifetime" would be a good theme, but you can't go out and capture that in 1 week. So, if over the course of taking screenshots for other contests that are rare, amazing, and don't quite fit the current theme, you could save them for that special edition competition. Just an idea.
What would everyone think about extending the contests to 2 weeks to give people more time? We could post entries for 2 weeks and vote for one week. I think it would be worth it to slow things down and have fewer contests per month if there's a chance for better participation.
What does everyone think? I can leave it the same, extend it to 2 week competitions and 1 week votes, or extend it even further so we have one contest per month. If we tried the once a month thing, we could possibly have the same start time every month (the 1st Thursday of the month) and have a 3 week competition and 1 week of voting. There are pros and cons to all these options. I'd like to know what works best for everyone and balance that with what will allow for the most participation. Hopefully they will be one in the same.

I don't really mind how long we have to get the screenies in because I have a whole collection of screenies that I take whenever I find something to my liking, so I could just pick out one that best fits the theme, but I think it is better to have a longer time because many times you don't have time, don't feel like it, or just don't have the right screenie. Therefor, it is better to have more time to get 'round to submitting yoyr entry.

Sorry for the delay everyone. First I was too busy, then I forgot about it. I hope the topic is ok. Please keep posting more ideas for future contests.
Lets get a few dozen entries (each from different people, of course) this time around. I won't enjoy making icons for that many entries but at least it will be a successful competition that way. Have fun with it!
