house pride - or is that too girly for you?

look out people, i know it's probably rare, but.....gasp!.....i'm a female and i'm just as into oblivion as the next "guy".....here's what i want to know:
everybody eventually buys a house so they can store their weapons, armor, loot, etc.....but.....do you actually
care
what the house looks like? Come on, oblivion isn't just about killing and robbing right?
i'm currently a level 26 battlemage with expert levels in multiple areas. I've got loads of septims and nothing to do with them so i've invested in "real estate" and equipping those houses.
i've got everything organized so that all i have to do is run in, grab the weapon i need and head out to massacre the baddies. And, i've managed to make my houses look great...(helmet display, crossed swords on my fireplace mantle, daedric bedroom). (can post pics if you're that interested)
so if all the quests are done, how come nobody else is spending their oblivion retirement doing this.....is it too girly for you? would love to see a screenshot competition about this....but maybe that's just me being a girl

lol, Not at all. I'm a guy, and I make all my houses clean and neat as possible. I have a container for all the different items (1 barrel for heavy armor, 1 barrel for light, 1 for jewlery, staves, swords, blunts, bow, etc.) It's even gotten as far as me lining up 7 baskets for each type of gem and filling them all up. I displays in all the display cases and have a helmet collection and a rare book collection on my book case. I'd love to send screenies, but I can't I'm on 360

I dont see anything rare about being a girl, because I am too.
I have a collection of gems in my house, and a alchemy office.

I never had time to decorate my house very well. I also don't have much patience for getting things exactly how I want them. I see no problem with it, though, and I know I would do it if I was ever in the mood.
I might try that thing about setting up baskets full of gems.
Sidenote to the ladies: Go to your profile and set your gender to female. Right now the ratio is 4.8 guys for every 1 gal. (It can only be so accurate since there are so many fake members but still...not everyone has their info filled out around here.

No sweat! I am female as well, and I love to make my house pretty! I've got Umbra's helmet displayed, a few bows, arrows, alchemy, and even went through the painstaking process of creating a bookshelf. I've got my dresser covered with gems, and swords tucked into nooks and crannies. I really enjoy making my house, well, homey. =D

I’m a bloke and I keep my houses fairly neat… Individual wardrobes for armour weapons and normal clothes etc. I also have armour and weapon displays all around the house, also spent some time filling all my bookshelves up with books.

well my house is beautiful, and I'm a dude, male, guy, man, etc. I have a sickle and repair hammer on my bed just right like the soviet flag. and I have the whole helmet display. plus a potato farm in my basement, and I also like to decorate my "campsites" as well.

I am a male... IDK how making your house look decent to great is girly.
Since day 1 on Oblivion, I have always planned my character's actions to get me rare items so I can post em in my house.
On my level 31 mage (2nd character- but first 1 to make it past level 5) I had bought the anvil house (Where Spirits have Lease?) I Spent around 3-4 hours organizing my shields/ swords/ staffs/ bookcases/ tables.. I even organize the basement/secret area... Only to later find out, when I came in after a hard days of bashing baddy faces, that everything was blown out of proportion because of the Anvil House's special ability to refurnish the house the same way it before. I just fireballed the house and bought the 1 in Skingrad.
