Well, I'm not trying to rain on your parade, here, but I have a few questions and comments for you.
These forums tend to focus on gaming and tie back to The Elder Scrolls series in one way or another. We have spinoffs, semi-related stuff, and a few general topics. There are also a few posts related to graphics spread here and there that you could use. You could also or make your own topics. As you can see from the old post you dug up to post your nice pics, there hasn't been a very strong interest in graphics around here so far... but maybe your ideas can change that.
The question is, do you have some specific ideas on what will happen in the graphics area? Will it only be a combination of the few related threads we already have plus a few new topics? Do you plan on having any topics somehow related to Oblivion-themed avatars, sigs, banners, smilies, etc.?
Basically, all I'm saying is that if you want the best chance of this happening, you should have a specific plan for what you would like to see happen. Graphics boards are great, but how would you like to taylor it to fit this site? Why do we need a devoted board, instead of just posting in the general area as we have so far?
Let us know your thoughts on this and we'll see how it goes. ...and welcome to the forums, by the way.
Well, here's the deal. I'm very dedicaded to graphics and art in general, and I have revived graphics sections before on more than one forum. You ask why we need a graphics forum? Because graphics are everywhere on the internet. Graphics
are the internet (graphics, code and text) and personally I don't see any reason why there couldn't be one. Oblivion themed sigs, avs, smilies, sprites are all just one small part of this. Graphics contests could be brought into the mix of things... along with all the member's art put together in one big, colorful happy place. Tutorials would also be a huge help to people who don't know how to use Adobe photoshop, macromedia flash, imageready or paintshop pro very well.
And you also ask, how do I talor it to fit the elder scrolls games/ oblivion? The same way it is talored to fit viva pinata, Gears of war, or spiderman! Make oblivion graphics! I've been trying to find a good oblivion forum to go to, one not too populated but also not too small, and this one looked great until I noticed one day that there was no graphics section! I would love a chance to make some oblivion banners/avs for people, and help people learn to use popular imaging software such as adobe photoshop and imageready. However, not having a graphics section leaves these topics floating in various forums... eventually drifting away down the dead pages just like that drawing one did.
It's nice to have things organized, and I'm pretty sure anyone who ever made a webpage would agree with me.

so I'm sorry if this post isn't a straight up plan with steps on how to execute a graphics section. if you really want to know a graphics section will look and feel like on your site you should go almost any other game forum on the web. Most of them have thriving graphics sections.
So, take into further than consideration, if you will, fellow oblivion players.
