Big Head

You know that Argonian that lives in Bliss that wants a fork. Well when i entered bliss for the 1 time i saw him beign killed by the town. I loaded back a save and when i entered i went diretly where he was, he was sneaking around an i got the quest from him but a second later he got killed by the town 
Any i dea and is his quest good?

He got killed before I could complete the quest too. It makes me wonder if that's an intended part of the quest or if he's just so shady that he just gets caught stealing all the time.

The quest is nothing special. I killed him myself after I did it so he wouldn't go around messing up my other quests.

Good job Mystical, just keep an eye on Big Head because he is a troublemaker, even after the quest.

Since people seem to be calling this a simple/dumb quest, I have no chance of ever completing it now, and this is the 'Hints and Spoilers' section... will someone kindly spoil this one for me (just mildly)? I know it involves "Big Head" and the "Fork of Horripilation" but what else? Does it take 5 minutes or 15? Are there 3 steps or 10? Any puzzles or is it straight-forward? What does the fork actually do?

Ha ha. I just looked up the definition of Horripilation. Basically, it means goosebumps. (Hair standing on end from either cold or from fear)

Anyways, if anyone decides to half-spoil it for me all I really mean by all those questions is to give a generalized explaination, without telling us the actual steps, additional characters, or place names.  Consider it an exercise in choosing your words carefully.

The quest is basically just go to this camp, find the fork and return it to Big Head.

The fork is a weapon that stunts your magicka, and has very low damage. It is a quest item, so you can only get rid of it by giving it to Big Head (or console it away).

Well that answers it for me.

The links you gave me said that if Big Head dies the fork ceases to be a quest item so, luckily, you can then get rid of it if you want.

The one good benefit no one mentioned was that if you give Big Head the fork, he'll give you a skill increase in Blade, Sneak, or Alchemy. That would be worth doing a simple quest, I think, but it sounds like the only sure way to complete this quest is to find the fork first and do it right away.

I don't know if I missed a patch somewhere, but I took Big Head's fork from his corpse after the quest and I can't drop it in my game... No big deal.

Yeah. Maybe there's a gap in there. It might only convert to a non-quest item if you have it on you when they notify you that he's dead. As long as it doesn't weigh anything, I guess it's just another item in a long, long list of stuff to carry around.

Big Head gets killed because his AI makes him steal forks. If he get caught, carnage! hahahah
