I notice quite a few of you have been disapointed by the lack of multi player.  My question is how would you like to see multiplayer impleneted into what is effectivley an interactive tale (atleast if you play the single player campaign).  In my opinion any multi player attempt would only dilute the main story line.  As anyone who has ever played an MMO will know there is no such thing as player tailored content in a massivley multiplayer title.  So do you think multi player would work in oblivion or would it dilute the experience?

  Debate away........

Aye... one of the great things about Morrowind (and Oblivion, though I haven't played it yet) is that it's a game with near-mmo-proportions, but without the annoying quirks of actually having to deal with real people all the time. I played MMO's, and I find it very pleasant not needing a dozen other people just to defeat one foe.

I rather enjoy the fact that every game in the Elder Scrolls series has been single player only. I think that having a party of friends with you would ultimately dilute the game's experience.

Anyone that complains "no multiplayer" obviously isn't into the game much. If they added a halfway decent multiplayer experience, they would have had to chop off a bunch of this game's best features.

Plus, in MMORPGs, every quest is totally impersonal and there's more than likely only one way to do it.

These days many people, especially hardcore online gamers seem to think single player RPGs are going the way of the dinosaur. This has been disproven by Oblivion and all Elder Scrolls games IMO.

Agreed, I am quite surprised, as I never got into Morrowind much and just kinda jumped into this one. I have to say, I am amazed.

Yep, Oblivion and Morrowind have proven that single-player is fun "plus I can't imagine getting on multiplayer and someone come from behind and hit me with a daedric claymore or a glass warhammer XD"

Thats a nice way of looking at it. Multiplayer and Oblivion are two things that should never go together.. atleast not while questing. PvP on the other hand..
