Is this limited to computer games?  My favorite of all time are:
(don't hit me) Final Fantasy VII
Sim City 2000
Morrowind

Recently I've really been enjoying Oblivion and The Sims2.  My only problem is my .2 millisecond attention span.  I never really finish any of the games I start, which is why I steer more toward games like Sim City and the Sims where there isn't really an end and I don't have to feel guilty about never reaching it.
