A brief list of MMORPG abbreviations. I tried to find such list myself some time ago, but couldn't find a usable one. Decided to create one myself as a compilation of several different sources dedicated to different MMO games.
The list follows (will be edited in future), suggestions and amendments welcome.
AFAIK - As far as I know
AFK - Away from keyboard
Aggro/agro - Short from aggression, became an official term in many current games. Indicates monster aggression/targeting towards a player.
ASAP - As soon as possible
ATM - At the moment
Bio - Short for "biological," this refers to fulfilling biological needs (i.e. using the restroom); often used to explain AFKs in groups
BRT - Be right there
BTW - By the way
CBA - Can't be arsed
DIAF - Die in a fire
FFS - For f---'s sake
FTL - For the loss ("smth. FTL" means "smth. is bad")
FTW - For the win ("smth. FTW" means "smth. is good")
FYI - For your information
GG/GJ - Good game/Good job
GLF - Group looking for
GTFO - Get the f--- out
GTG/G2G - Got to go
HP - Hit points/Health points
IC - In character
IDC - I don't care
IDK - I don't know
IIRC - If I recall correctly
IMHO - In my humble opinion
IMO - In my opinion
Inc - Incoming
IRL - In real life
JK - Joke/Just kidding
K/KK - OK
KIT - Keep in touch
KS - Kill steal, killing a foe that was being defeated by another player
LF - Looking for ("LF tank," etc.)
LF1M/LF2M/etc. - Looking for one more, two more, etc.
LFG - Looking for group
LFM - Looking for more (for a group)
LFP - Looking for players (group looking for players)
MP(SP) - Mana points/Magic points/Spell points
MT - Mistell (means "I sent this message to the wrong channel or person")
NP - No problem
NVM/NM - Nevermind
Ofc - Of course
OIC - Oh I see
OMW/OTW - On my way/On the way
OOC - Out of character
ORLY? - Oh really?
PK - Player kill or player killer
PL - Power level. To level as quickly as possible with outside assistaince.
Rez - Resurrection
STFU - Shut the f--- up
TBH - To be honest
TP - Teleport
TTYL - Talk to you later
TY - Thank you
TYT - Take your time
Vent - Ventrillo - Correctly spelled as Ventrilo, it is a Voice over IP (VoIP) online chat service.
WC - Wrong channel
WTB - want to buy
WTF - What the f---
WTH - What the hell
WTS - Want to sell
WTT - Want to trade
XP (Exp) - Experience
YW - You are welcome
