It's time to vote for which screenshot best portrays the competition theme.

The theme for the Oblivion Screenshot Competition #13 was: Civilization.

Any member of Cyrodiil Forums can vote once whether you entered the competition or not. If you have an entry in the competition it is strongly recommended that you don't vote for yourself. Not only is that a pretty arrogant thing to do but it is rude and could potentially skew the voting. Besides, if everyone voted for their own entry, then only the votes of those who did not participate would count. Everyone be honest and vote for the screenshot that best fits the theme.

Try not to take the "quality" of the image into account too much. No one should win just because they have a more powerful computer and run higher settings. Think of this as an in-game photography contest. Consider, mood, composition, balance (stuff like that if you know about photography), but above and beyond any other consideration: does this entry most make me think about this rounds theme?

It's not a requirement but please tell us who you voted for and why. You can also tell us what was most important to you and what could any of the entries could have done to be better.

The poll will expire in 7 days (Sunday, 9 March 2008), that's all the time you have to make your decision. After that, I'll leave the poll open for the announcement of the winner, congratulation posts, and any additional comments and discussion of the entries.

My vote goes to Paragon. It's colorful, and full of life, and that's what a Civilization should probably mean.

Mystical's screenshot is also great, by the way. Choice wasn't quite so easy this time.

I like the color and action in Paragon's shot, as well as the fact that there is both reading and painting but I feel this shot best portrays nature or tranquility.

I voted for Mystical beacuse I feel that this shot gives a good sense of artificial (man-made), structure, heierarchy, and other aspects more related to the typical idea of Civilization.

In reality, some combination of the two ideas would better represent the idea of Civilization but Mystical's shot hits just a little closer to home in my opinion. It's a very close call this time around. Great job to both of you no matter who ends up winning.
