Okay, I've got a couple of things to throw onto the discussion table.

Firstly, I was wondering if it would be alright for other people to donate some interesting screenshots for the contest. It's not a problem for me to get them, but if people want to use theirs, then they could PM me with the link to the uploaded screenshot and I would determine whether it could be a potential contest screenie. Do we want to do that as well, or do you just want to leave it up to me?

Second, I wanted to ask if people wouldn't mind if I manipulated screenshots. I don't necessarily plan on doing this, but if I ran out of ideas, I could throw together a couple of boring screenies and make something fun out of it to use in the contest. Or, do you just want to stick to the regular, old-fashioned way, and want me to use the console to make something interesting?

The last thing I wanted to ask is if you guys think it would be okay for me to join the Caption Contest. I know that DM can join his screenshot contest, but for me it's a little different because I could plan ahead for which screenie to use if I have a killer caption. Now, I'm not saying that I will do this, because I wont, but that's something to think about. I don't really see another reason that I shouldn't join in, but I wanted your opinion on this.

Okay, and that's it! The first round of the contest has begun, so good luck to anyone that enters! Also, if you want a specific theme for the screenshot, let me know and I'll get it for you.

i have some cute off the wall screenies saved....if you ever need an idea i'll post some in my photobucket album.

with the apparent lack of enthusiasm lately with the competitions, i think you should be able to enter, the more the merrier i say.  if you are honest enough to point out that you could pick a screenie that you already had a killer caption for, but wouldn't....then that says enough about how you're going to run the contest.  i say join in.

IMHO, there are potentially enough odd happenings or random images that you can capture through gameplay that manipulation shouldn't be necessary for the purposes of a contest entry.

side note....mystical do you have the mod "house decorator" downloaded? personally, i think it's phenomenal. it would be perfect for you to stage screenshots, rather than taking two screens and manip them together. I use house decorator to manipulate bodies, items, etc and yes out in the wild too (not just houses). i LOVE that thing.

I have a question.

Can we change our entries before the deadline?

As a mod, I can still edit my entry. For everyone else, if changing your entry before the deadline is allowed, maybe make a new post with a note that it is a replacement entry so the original can be deleted. ....or maybe mods do it the same way, they just tell themselves to delete the old post. That way the process is always the same and there are no edited posts.

Yes, you are allowed to change your entry as long as you are not stealing someone else's idea by putting it on your own words, and that you understand that there is one entry per person. If someone posts 2 times with no note to tell the mods they are replacing their entry, the first one will be automatically overwritten.

Sorry for double posting but is it Ok if i carry on these comps. since they techinally Mysticals competitions, but she hasn't been on since mid-late october, or would it evade forum rules somehow.

Well, it wouldn't be against any rules for you to start one. It's sort of her thing... but I don't think she would get too angry if someone continued the contest while she's away.

Just make sure to use the same rules that were posted for the last contest and try to keep the formatting similar. Take the extra time to make it look professional and keep it high quality.

If I find anything inappropriate I'll delete it and I might edit your posts to correct any errors you miss.

Give it a try, though, I guess.

OK mine problem has something else to... Since I can't get the console up&running, its harder to make screenshots that look funnny/ironic, get it: Console = Game stuffing up...
Any help would be appreciated
