It's time for another Screenshot Competition!

Here's how it works:

At the start of each competition, the rules will be stated in the first post and any changes from the standard set of rules will be shown in bold for emphasis, along with the Theme and the Deadline. The Theme is a word, phrase, or description that each entry is based on and will set the basis for judging at the end of the competition. Each user can submit one (1) screenshot each. When the deadline is up, the topic will be locked. A new poll will be created soon after the competition ends so that voting can begin.

Rules:
  • Every entry must be the user's own work. (It cannot be downloaded from another website)
  • Unless otherwise stated, it must be a screenshot from "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion"
  • It can not be edited, color adjusted, or enhanced in any way (Especially, photo or graphics editing programs)
  • You can resize, crop, and scale as necessary to get it to a reasonable screensize and filesize, as long as you're not attempting to enhance the image in the process, as that would violate the previous rule.
  • You are allowed to re-use a screenshot you previously posted on the boards, as long as it follows all other rules and has never been used in any other competition before. (especially this one, of course)
  • No off topic posting in the Competition topic. (Open discussion will be allowed in the Screenshot Competition Discussion topic)
  • No profanity, offensive language, or adult situations. (All forum rules still apply here.)
  • If you have any active mods in the scene (especially user-mods that affect the textures, clothing, or visual quality of the game), please list them in the text of your submission.
  • Include a text description of your general location in Cyrodiil (nearest city; name of the cave, fort, or Ayleid Ruin; or questline) and a brief description of why you feel your picture fits the current theme.

This Competition's Theme is Sunset
Go into Oblivion (or Cyrodiil) and take a picture (screenshot) of a sunset. Post it here and see who's picture is the best. Just do your best to capture the essence of the theme in the most creative way possible.

We will only have about one and a half weeks to take screenshots this time. Based on previous competitions, that should still be enough of time. Now that winners will be displayed for the world to see, everyone should have some extra incentive to create an entry. Don't be shy. The deadline is Monday 24 March 2008 at 7:00pm EST (4:00pm PST; midnight GMT; 10am the next day in Australia)

When the competition is over for the week the topic will be locked and a new poll will be created so we can all vote for a winner. Remember, only one entry each, so make it a good one. Since the competition is a long one, if you want to post a new entry your previous entry (in this same competition) will need to be deleted in order to replace the old one. So, if you post an entry and want it replaced but time ran out on editing the old one (24 hours), just post a second one, making sure to make a note that it is your new entry. I, or another moderator, will kindly delete your first entry for you. Feel free to repost your original entry on another appropriate board if you'd like. Good luck and have fun, everyone! Let's make it another good one.

Where: taken from balcony of second level, Frostcrag Spire, Jerrall Mountains.  Bruma lies in valley at the base of pic.
This photo manages to capture the range of colors in a sunset sky, contrasted against the darkness of the mountain peaks.

Time is up. The deadline has passed.

The Oblivion Screenshot Competition #14 is now officially over.

I had hoped to post an entry but I was held up at work and now our time is up. So, I guess there's no need for voting this time around.

The winner of the fourteenth Oblivion Screenshot Competition is Paragon.

Congratulations!

Winners will continue to be displayed on the Screenshot Competition Winners & Participants page.

that was a close one ehh Grin (JK) but i wish i heard this one sooner would of got an anvil one with the light house in it.

[I almost (actually, I did..shhhh.) moved this to the Screenshot Competition Discussion thread. Normally, only entries are allowed... but this is technically also what would have been the voting thread, so I left it (put it back) here.  Embarrassed  Carry on.]
