I've got the armor too, and I agree that it's well done, but honestly, $2.00 for something that was SUPPOSED to be included in the game, I think it would make more sense to just release it for free.

My point exactly.

I have no problem paying $1.99 for the horse armour plugin, and I'll happily pay the same again for the other two mods when they are released, its only a couple of dollars it's not even half a pint of beer back here in Blighty.

It wasn't supposed to be in the game though, it is something extra and there are lots of games out there where you can pay for extra content (The Sims 2 comes to mind right away)

Actually the armor was originally supposed to be included in the game for nothing, it was mentioned in early previews as being included with the core game, but I think at the last moment they decided they needed 'premium' content so they pulled it out and made it a plugin.

The Orrery will be priced $1,89 for both Xbox 360 and PC, as far as I've heard. They seem to care about 360 owners, heh? Besides I was afraid that Orrery will be more expensive, as it features much more content than horse armor.

I'll publish news later if I get more info on this.

And waiting for times when I'll be able to create my own mods. Free Smiley

The way I see it is i've already paid a hundred bucks for the game itself, that should be supporting the company enough. That's where the real money was made. Charging for small plugins on top of that is just being greedy, they should be free, showing fans respect for purchasing their game in the first place.

I agree with Crono. Also I don't have a credit card, so I can't even buy it. Guess I'll have to resort to petty crime again. Sorry Bethesda...

I agree with the last post.. I could certainly see Bethesda charging for a larger mod that could be viewed as a semi-expansion. These mods however seem to have been planned from the start considering that they're out on the market already and there still are no patches for the game.
Not a bad idea from a marketing standpoint but it does put an unfair pressure on players imo. And of course you don't have to buy them, but then, you don't have to buy products you see advertised on TV and yet people do, because we are affected by it wheter we think we are or not.
And well, I really don't understand people that enjoy making commericals, but that's just me.. :/
