I'm not familiar with the advanced face generator but you've come to the right place. If Chimera gets back, I'm sure he'd be able to help you out. He started a nice thread called SI Facegen Characters with lots of professional looking celebrity facegen characters.

He's our in-house pro. Lets just hope he comes around and notices this thread.

Yeah, that is odd.

Maybe you have to go to all the trouble of adjusting the sliders so the face proportions match the photo you're overlaying onto it. It seems like the in-game version picks a random set of face shapes but puts the image on top of it all. If so, that means you have to adjust the nose, for example, so that... hmm maybe not.

I'm really not sure. It isn't quite right but I'm not so sure that's the problem.

For now, maybe play with the in-game sliders... starting with skin-tone, then maybe trying structural things like the nose.

I have no experience with it, though, so you'll have to wait for someone who knows about this stuff. I've contacted Chimera but we'll see if he responds. Hopefully he'll know exactly what to do and can tell you how to proceed.

Hi Guys,
I played with Will Smith's face a little while ago. The ears in the screenie however are photoshopped, since I have no real knowledge of meshes to help stretch his ears horizontally.

I kinda gave up on him because the ears really would have made the character.

It's hard to tell from your character what changes to make because your screenie is not a console shot like these:

but I never publish a character once it is in Oblivion until I use the stock facegen sliders in the console mode, as seen above, to tone and shape the face. I NEVER use the Redguard race. I use mostly Imperial, no matter what race the celebrity is. My Will Smith is indeed Imperial as well as Snoop Dogg.

Yes, even TEAL'C was a new race from the Imperial race...
Early version:

Finished version:

Another tip; although it looks like you have an excellent looking SI Facegen render, I usually try different pics and save different renders. My photo of Will actually had a mustache and goatee,  which helped him look older.

You need to get into the Oblivion console and tone and shape the face or they will never look realistic.

I have a question though, how were you able to export the face from SI Facegen? I ask because I see the "SI" on Will's forehead and I thought that unless you pay for the full version you could not export the face.

Yes you need Construction Set as well as DDS Converter. I make a new race from the Imperial race and rename the new race whatever I like, although it looks like I named Snoop's race as just Imperial. If you have any questions I am happy to help.

One more thing, I'm kinda busy with video work right now and my Windows XP died on me, so I think I may have lost my Will Smith character, but I may take a look for some saved data if you want and possibly make him available for download. Just wish I had those ears...
