Ok I'm gonna write a storyline for TES5 Borderline... feel free to join in
You start off waking up in a street side somewhere in Elsweyr-Majorly hungover from mead and still a bit high on moon sugar.Once your sences come You realise your in your home village of K'kaki near the Valenwood border. You realise the town has been bombed and every citizen been killed-except you (they thought you were already dead coz of your state)almost every house has been bombed you must make your way to your house at the back of town defeating a few stoned wood elves along the way (they found your moon sugar stash) your house has been bombed and you must salvage some weapons and journal in your basement. your journal states
I
think the Bosmer are planning an attack on some of my latest adventures I have seen Some strange Bosmer around the border wearing green armor with a giant tree on it.
as you leave the basement you face an enemy called Moregaer-treedogs leader. after defeating Moregaer It is your job to find and Infiltrate the treedogs and discover what they have against Elsweyr You must play an anti-elsweyr elsweyr resident (if you are Khajiit you must say you want to assasinate the emporer of Elsweyr) and Kill of the tree dogs and there secret worship The elven kilers and return the pride for K'kaki, facing many penetrating challenges. But with over 200 side quests and 8 factions to join/kill time with along the way...

Developers are bound by disclosure agreements. If a Bethesda employee will come here and leak confidential info, he won't stay Bethesda employee for much longer.
I'm sure that they'll have an original start for their new story, and sure that it can't be predicted in any way before the game is announced.

I think Khajiits meant that Bethesda would read about our ideas on this and other TES5 speculation threads because our ideas are so great.
I understand the feeling, as I think I've had plenty of good ideas... but Bethesda has great ideas too and they're the professionals. If they ever borrowed any of my ideas (mostly game-play ideas), I'd be happy but I think they are overflowing with ideas of their own. We'll be more surprised by a story that they'll think up while we're thinking of completely different ideas.
That being said, you have an interesting story. Keep going with it, or write another. Fun stuff.

okay...here's mine
It's a beautiful, sun-basked day as you are walking the streets of a city in Valenwood with your best mate who you have known for years-(can't think of a name). He is a majestic High Elf and a good citizen too.
All of a sudden, you sense something is wrong. You and your mate can hear armies running closer towards the city. You start to panic and ask people if they know anything about an army coming to visit. After a frantic minute of scurrying, you hear yelling as helpless guards fall to their feet, swords piercing their so-called protective armour. And then "BOOM" people stop and turn towards the main gate to watch the outcome. "BOOM". People scream again and turn away to their secure house basements. And then "BOOM" and shortly after, a slow "CRASH" as the gate falls to the now ruined concrete path. Soldiers, from where you are not sure, flood in through the gate, slaughtering those too slow to get out of the way. You draw your sword for self-defence and start running. You then hear your mate fall to the ground. You go to help him up but are too late, as a soldier has him at swordpoint. "You," the soldier hissed, "we've been looking for you, hahaha." The soldier sneered as he pulled your childhood friend by the neck and knocked him out with his bulky, heavily armoured fist. "We've found him lads!!" the soldier bellowed as you watch in horror unable to move. A large cheer aroused amongst the screaming and terror. All of a sudden, you get a strong adrenaline rush and pull your weapon to knock the guard dragging your limp friend. All of a sudden, a sharp pain at the back of your head takes over your thoughts. The last you see of that once beautiful day is a soldier sneering down at you while collapse helplessly on the ground, and your friend, his face smeared with blood, being pulled away, out the once majestic gate.
You awake, admist the chaos. Fire, screaming, corpses laying one the ruined street. You gather your thoughts and run off to help those that survived put out the fires, tend to the injured and clean up the streets. After a night of hard thinking, you decide that you have to find your best friend, or die trying.
You begin your journey, later learning of his ancestory, and that he is now the leader of an enormous Daedric group. Having been put under a spell, he has decided that he must rule the world with his own 2 hands, destroying anyone that went against him. You must find a way to break the spell to save the world, and him, before the whole of Tamriel descends into darkness...

alright... SKYRIMTIME!!!
Feeling refreshed after your combat instruction (a.ka the tutorial) by Old combat master Alcron the Arrogant, you open the door to breathe in the cool Riften air. but something is wrong... it smells almost... smokey. You open your eyes to see fires engulfing the city with soldiers running around taking the locals hostage. In the midsdt of it all you can see Alcron being taking hostage you attemt to run foward to try to save him but you get nowhere. The reason being your tripping over a small wood elf named Gearager Camoran. Just before you black out (coz you hit your head on a step when you tripped) you hear Geragaer saying "Knock this one out, we may already have the one who killed my father, Alcron, but we can take no more chances. Anyways we'll need this one later".
You wake up in a nearby village thinking 'why did geragaer want revenge, is there more to the mythic dawn than ever believed, What did Gearager want with you and I like... VANILLA ice cream'...
So you start searching for Alcron, answers and some more
chocol
vanilla ice cream............................

Not as Interesting as Children
From TES V What do You want?

But doesn't that take the adventure out of the game. I mean making your perfect hubby/chikky, wouldn't it be better adventuring to find someone like Olav or Jensine, who made money and could bring part of the bacon home, to tend to the house while your out slaughtering baddies or in jail because you've been slaughtering innocent people, and set their AI like they do normally, so if you murder people or steal things alot, they don't like you as much, which could lead to divorce.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
rockerdunmer
maybe the reason you slaughter people is why they fell in love with you in the first place other wise I would be getting a lot of divorces
you wouldn't want that sort of thing leading to "adult situations" though....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Khajiits of the nine
Aaah...yes but for the murderous people there no doubt will be people lik Lucien Lachance that murder for a living. Yes no 3 or 8

Alcron the Arrogant
------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you start thinking about bringing interpersonal relationships into the picture, it starts to be a little like a dating sim ... or isn't that sort of 'raise a family' sort of thing in Fable? I guess the point is, there's only so much you can change Oblivion before it starts to become like other games, sorta losing focus on some of the aspects we all liked about the rest of the series.
The problem with the dating sim type of mini-game would be that most systems get a little repetitive and unnatural. You earn 'points' with the lady you're trying to woo by giving the right answer to a question, giving the right gift, etc. It just becomes an advanced version of the persuasion mini-game. It would be very difficult to find a way for such a thing to feel natural. The other version would be to create your own ideal mate in a menu similar to your own character creation. That's more in line with a simple companion mod. In either case, I just don't see it blending well with the style of TES games.
Maybe there's some awesome way to do it, but I can't imagine a good way to do it right now.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
rockerdunmer
hehe....this is getting a bit carried away
I meant that you would design your own partner, but you would have to choose a name out of list
though I'm sure Bethesda would focus more on saving the world than who you fall in love with...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Khajiits of the nine
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah it would have to be done in EVERY npc's AI settings, I mean try to have over 1000 Sontaire's (Books of Bliss) in a game
Hmmm... maybe this time you might have to turn to the DARK side for the MQ....
[yes i changed the colour of the writing so I could do the dark side thingymajigwhatsit]

Being able to be executed!
Say if you commit enough murders/crimes they'll try to execute you and you have to escape their ropes and arrows (ropes get it?) and to win back their trust you yeild and say "I can work it off" and you have to do community services for a while...
Uuuuggggh....... I just read about Holmes 'Murder Castle' Hotel the other night some scary people out there

Alright, let me have a go at the storyline then?
(-opening scene-)
You are a weak little grubby child from a small tribal village in a remote part of the world, far far from (wherever TES decides to happen). As part of your trial of adulthood, you are sent into the tribe's deep cavern of adulthood to retrieve an ancient relic of the past (any relic). You are pushed into the opening of the dark cavern, blindfolded, and led by two guides, down what seems like miles of tunnels, for what seems like hours. You hear some muffled noises, but are too drowsy to care, and you continue walking. Finally, you feel like you can walk no farther and you trip over something soft, and you faint as you fall to the ground. You awaken with your face firmly planted in a pile of dung, and you call out for your guides, but no one answers. You hear some beastly noises in the distance, and feverishly try to loosen the ropes binding your hands. After a minute, you free yourself and take off your blindfold. You blink, and strain to see in the darkness of the tunnels, then you remember the torch that was tied to your waist for the journey, and light it.
(-now you get to play the tutorial-)
You look around, peering through the dim flicker of the torchlight. To your left you see a pile of animal droppings and some cleanly picked bones. You then slowly turn your eyes to your right, in the direction back where you came. You lean closer to inspect the dim figure, and to your horror, you see the partial body of one of your guides! Heart pounding, and gripped with fear, you try to understand what is happening. You backtrack for a little while, noticing two long blood trails. You, and the blood, stop at a 5 way tunnel split. The knot in your stomach tightens as you realize you are not only probably dead meat, but you are also hopelessly lost. You hear a rumbling in the distance, and you get an ominous feeling about it. As you investigate each tunnel, you find that each one dead-ends or is blocked by landslides. You find a few chests with useful items in them, and you fight some small cave dwelling creatures.
(-this is where you decide your class and tutorial stuff is over-)
Finally, in despair, you decide to go back to where you awoke, to a bloody, gory scene. You wander through various labyrinths, and you find some gold. You wander on for what seems like forever, when you find a tunnel that seems to have a breeze blowing. As you know, a breeze means that there is probably an escape to the surface! Dusty, dirty, muddy, and battle hardened, you tear through a series of puzzling caverns, and you start finding signs of more recent life. At last, you feel that you are nearly out of this nightmare, when you face the final cavern boss, the horrible beast that ate your tribal guides. It whispers to you in a beastly voice, that they were delicious, and that you were not fit as a meal, being far too scrawny and bony. After your inevitable victory over the beast, you wander out into the daylight.
(-now you are in TES country-)
You have been wandering around for a while, when you happen upon a small village. Nothing in this place looks familiar to you at all, but it is great to finally have people around again, and you quickly and happily integrate into society (or do you?).
(-main quests, *yada yada* - *cough* destiny *cough*)
Meanwhile, nobody has any idea of any tribal village that you describe to them... (or do they?) You also tend to run into some crazy people spouting prophetic mumbo-jumbo.
(-endgame SPOILER-)
You get some help from expert miners since you are a renowned person throughout the land(s). It dawns on you that you miss your parents terribly, and you miss your old tribal friends, and you are feeling extremely nostalgic all of the sudden. You decide to go back to that deep cavern from whence you came, and dig up the past. You and your new found friends carefully map out the caverns, and solve the riddles, and after many people die fighting the offspring of the beast you killed before, you finally find the remains of your tribesmen from that fateful day. You and your friends continue on out the other side of the caverns, and you are reunited with your family. Also, you bring all of the loot from the caverns that you and your company have gathered, and present it to the chief. You are finally marked as an adult member of the tribe, and you live happily ever after (or do you?).
