Glitch

I am sure I have found a glitch that is not letting me complete the main quest. What do I do now. Restarting the system does not seem to help at all. and I am basically stuck in a cave unless I go back to my last save game which I don't want to do because of all the stuff I have completed between then and now. This really blows. How do you all get around glitches?

I am on the great Welkynd stone quest in the first level of the cave. In order to get into the second level of the cave you have to jump down from bridge type path, kill some creatures, and hit a button to open the gate to the second part. I have done this no problem. The problem is I cannont get back up to the bridge because there is a gate blocking my way back out. The gate is opened with a pressure plate that is right in front of it. I stand on the plate, it goes up and down, the gate does not move. I am now stuck in the cave. I have read the strategy guide and walkthroughs on the internet and all of them say to stand on this pressure plate and it should open the gate. It doesn't work and it is really frustrating.

If you don't mind console commands, try tcl (toggle clipping). Let's you fly though the gate. Type tcl again to go back to normal.

Ouch, hmmm, well, thinking that it may be part of a puzzle, is there anything around to set on the plate to keep it down, or anything?  I don't actually know as this quest worked fine for me, but I think you may have just caught a bug.

The Xbox VS of the game seems to be buggy as all get out. From what people have been telling me

Try to hold down "A" when you put the CD in the system. Stop holding it down when you see the second Bethesda logo.

I have it for xbox 360.

You could try the arrow glitch to keep weight on the pressure plate. Do u know the arrow glitch to duplicate items? I think i understand wut u mean.....plate goes down but when u let off ur wait plate go up? Well if this is the case the duplication glitch should work just fine. But save before u try it duplicate too much and you'll freeze the game. I maxed out at 551 skulls once. Filled an entire room in my house.
