I think its quite high, Popularitywise and Qualitywise, as quite alot of the newer games are/look  average [with the exclusions of Saints Row2, Fallout3 SmackdownvsRAW2008 and Rock Band2], games like Guitar hero World Tour seem to have run out of ideas and copied other games *coughrockband/guitarherocough* or generated other *coughbadcough* ideas from other games *coughanimalcrossingsimilartoSIMScough* or don't carry on with their series *coughguitarherocough*, sorry bad cough here *clearsthroat* Wink . I don't know about anywhere else in the world, but here in NZ retailers are still doing deals with Oblivion, and Morrowind is still played/sold widely. TES is probably the 2nd (after Warcraft, obviously) series in the world, if not 3rd(Diablo/Fallout), anyone agree with me, or do you all think i'm a wackjob?

Morrowind is much more involved. Deeper. I felt more connected to the story. Mods can make it beautiful. Not as beautiful as Ob but still beautiful.
Mods can make combat better and NPC's less static.

Oblivion is beautiful with great combat and animations.. but the story left me wanting. The gameplay is less. Less lore. Less satisfying..
