2008 has come to an end: a year not that rich with The Elder Scrolls news. Bethesda Softworks was busy with releasing Fallout 3, which proved to be a highly successful game, well deserving its rewards and positive reviews. The third Fallout became an addictive experience not only for die-hard Fallout fans, but also for general role-playing audience. In certain ways, the game was similar to previous Bethesda’s role-playing installments, which made it even more interesting for The Elder Scrolls fans (myself included).

While there are still no news on the future of Elder Scrolls franchise, success of Fallout 3 is something that ensures the wellbeing of Bethesda and provides what’s very much needed to develop large, complex, ambitious and technologically advanced games: money. As for talents, the studio never had trouble with those.

The next year we will be watching for news related to future Elder Scrolls games, as well as general news related to Bethesda. Meanwhile, it is holiday season, and to conclude this year’s last news artile: best wishes, Merry Christmas, and have a great New Year!
