It's time to vote for which screenshot best portrays the competition theme.

The theme for the Oblivion Screenshot Competition #26 was: Champion.

Any member of Cyrodiil Forums can vote once whether you entered the competition or not. If you have an entry in the competition it is strongly recommended that you don't vote for yourself. Not only is that a pretty arrogant thing to do but it is rude and could potentially skew the voting. Besides, if everyone voted for their own entry, then only the votes of those who did not participate would count. Everyone be honest and vote for the screenshot that best fits the theme.

Try not to take the "quality" of the image into account too much. No one should win just because they have a more powerful computer and run higher settings. Think of this as an in-game photography contest. Consider, mood, composition, balance (stuff like that if you know about photography), but above and beyond any other consideration: does this entry most make me think about this rounds theme?

It's not a requirement but please tell us who you voted for and why. You can also tell us what was most important to you and what could any of the entries could have done to be better.

The poll will expire in 7 days (Tuesday, 31 March 2009), that's all the time you have to make your decision. After that, I'll leave the poll open for the announcement of the winner, congratulation posts, and any additional comments and discussion of the entries.

Rockerdunmer for me once again, when I saw the title for this competition my first thought was arena. I even have an old screen shot almost identical to Rockerdunmer's entry.

Can we simply prolong the voting for some time? I believe that some people are just not visiting forums that frequently.

Meanwhile, I suggest to start the next contest... as one who plays Oblivion once in 1 or 2 or 3 weeks, I sometimes don't fall into the time frame for the contest, even though I might have ideas for the shots that fall into this or that category. And that's probably what some other members are experiencing as well.

I extended the vote an extra day when I first read this post, but it expired with a tie anyways. I have now added 3 additional days to the vote. If it's still a tie by then, we'll have a traditional tie-breaker.

I try to make the vote last for exactly a week so that each day of the week is accounted for, and until now, the vote generally doesn't overlap. I am starting the new competition now and it will run until the end of the month (minus a day, in case I'm late for some reason). If this works well, we can continue it as the standard procedure, giving nearly a full month for each competition, instead of 1-3 weeks. It won't hurt anything to overlap the contest and the vote for another winner.

Obviously, since we had to have a tie-breaker vote, it was a very close battle this time around. We had 4 great entries that did a good job of illustrating the idea of Champion. Congratulations to the winner Champion!
