Bethesda Pack from Steam - how to enable the icons?

I've recently purchased the Bethesda Pack from Steam, featuring Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout III.

The package itself is quite good, I previously got localized versions of those games, and playing the original should be refreshing. The pack also has a good value ($70) considering the current price of those games in standalone packages, which is still high for not-so-recent games. Of course all three are in GOTY editions.

However, I've encountered a problem: the icons for the games appear to be blank. Both default icons created after installation, and icons that I create via Steam later, look like blank document icons. Which isn't very encouraging. Did anyone encounter similar problems? Got WinXP.

I did a quick search and couldn't find that problem mentioned elsewhere. I never bought a game on steam, so I won't be much help to you.

Yes, it wasn't that hard to use the games with my own icons. Although the recent hard drive failure has made all those things obsolete, I'll have to re-download all games... and, what's much worse, all my old characters from Morrowind and Oblivion are gone. You back up important documents or archives without caring much about other stuff like game saves that that are all so painful to lose.
