Encyclopaedia Oblivionicus - new website

If you've followed official Oblivion forums at elderscrolls.com, you probably know about Encyclopaedia Oblivionicus, the most complete unofficial FAQ about Oblivion created by Astarsis, Ixidorsbane and a number of contributors. The forum version, originally found here, was also hosted in website variant by Cyrodiil Chronicles.

Now Encyclopaedia has a new site of its own, hosted by Waiting4Oblivion.com. Address of the new site is

  I was just about to post a new thread here welcoming people to come see the new site!  But yeah, here's what I was going to post anyways.

The Encyclopaedia Oblivionicus Online

For those who don't check the Oblvion thread list at the Official Forums, the Encyclopaedia Oblivionicus now has it's own website (big thanks to Stargelman and Waiting4Oblvion.com for hosting it).  The site includes most everything from the current Encyclopaedia as well as the Unofficial FAQ, all three Fan Interviews, screens and videos of Oblivion and the well known Oblivion Facts List.

And as Oblivion comes out next week, more will be added in the form of gameplay, world, items, storyline, quest and modding information.  Welcome to the most informative site for Oblivion on the web.  The site is constantly under construction, as more information is being released about Oblivion daily.

Ok, PM sent. I've described problem very briefly, but I hope it's understandable.

I think I'll leave Encyclopaedia at Cyrodiil Chronicles as it is now for some time... then just take it offline. I've already added links to new site on Encyclopaedia primary pages, so there should be no worries that someone will use outdated version by mistake.

It has most of all the same information as the one on the official forums and here at Cyrodiil Chronicles, but in a different layout.  Much more streamlined by what exactly is the information on.  Not all of the specifics are up for combat, magic and stealth, but they will be added in the next week or two, when I can get my hands on the game to get all the details.

Although I had some problems with some of the info, as it said the opposite of two other sources, but I cleared it out - it was about dual wielding and mounted combat.

I don't know what or where you read about those two subjects, but let me assure you that niether of those features will be present in Oblivion.

The closest to dual weilding in the game will be a shield/torch in one hand and a sword/hammer/axe in the other.  And the mounted combat was in at the very beginning of the development (that's where this picture came from), but was scraped just afterwards, for it wouldn't work perfectly and they didn't want to put anything in the game that wasn't perfect.

Oh yes - I have investigated that long ago - don't worry - I know they are not included. The source for the wrong info was Gamespy btw.....
