Help with possible 360 glitch?

I am on level 5 and decided to go to the arena (I'd rather pick flowers but I felt obliged to "have a go").  Anyway I went to the arena, spoke to Owyn, fought the first opponent and won and then went back down the tunnel to speak to Owyn again to receive my reward or whatever.  When I got to Owyn he didnt do anything.  When I speak to him he seems to think that I haven't been up to the arena yet and that I certainly haven't won any fights.  He calls me stupid and tells me he has put me in for a battle and that I'd better get up there and fight.  But SHE'S ALREADY DEAD!  I am perfectly happy to go back to collecting flowers and tripping about the countryside on my lovely horse but if someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong that would be very helpful.  PS I am playing on the 360.

Oh my. Sounds like you've done everything right so the only thing I can put it down to is, as you have suggested, a glitch; so I can't be of any help i'm afraid.

The 360 version is all too prone to bugs and glitches it seems, even moreso than the PC version which has more than it's fare share.

try cleansing yourself at the bottom of the arena ramp in the blood-bowl thing

I know this is going to sound really stupid but maybe you should try going back into the Arena, that happened to me once and when I went back up the fight reset itself. After I killed the person the second time I got my reward.

Thanks guys for your replies.  I will try anything! 

So here's what happened: 

When I went to the bath thing it let me replenish myself but nothing changed.  Owyn still thought I needed to kill her - "she's dead I tell you - she's dead!!!!" (That was me shouting at Owyn by the way).

I am carrying on with my other quests and periodically I go back to Owyn just to see if he has changed his mind.  I have also been up to the arena again at least three times but each time it's the same. 

I have even gone back to a game save that was before I went in the arena and its still the same.

I need closure!! 

Unfortunately I have the feeling that Arvion (that's me) will never get to be arena champion and that (horror of horrors) I may need to start again if I ever want to get closure on the arena.

Any more suggestions of what to do will be gratefully received.

That's a nasty glitch. And since you're on the 360, you can't use console commands to fix it...dang.


I'm on the 360 and have been pretty lucky; I've had no glitches that couldn't be solved by re-loading a save and trying again.
