"When The Vow breaks" Bug..

Well it's not all that great of a quest, but i tried doing the one where i must retrieve rockshatter from fort strand. However I'd already cleared the place out looong ago, so the guy i was suppose to kill was long dead. Well i get there and find rockshatter lying on the ground so i pick it up. Yay journal message. Hmm, I then search the long dead guy's body and there lies another rockshatter. I take this as well, thinking i could sell it or something...
Anywho whenever i return to the lady, she says "have you retrieved rockshatter yet?" and i can't seem to give her the damned mace, so now im stuck with 2 annoying maces in my inventory, albeit not weighing anything...

any help?

I once stumbled upon some info regarding this problem while roaming about the interweb on a mission to read all things 'Oblivion' one day. There is actually a well known glitch contained within this quest involving multiple weapons, which you seem to have experienced.
