Logging each time you visit board?

I wished to ask if members here have to log in each time they visit this forum. For some unknown reason, I have to - maybe it's just a security measure for administrators. Or maybe it's a configutation flaw and all members experience the same.

Hope someone could check if it's true or not.

Yeh i've wondered that myself, happens to me also (on the rare occasions I actually close my browser). I tried deleting all cookies etc relating to this forum and it still happens so it must be an internal flaw or something. It doesn't seem to happen to me with other Invision forums, or for that matter any other forums..

Well it remembers me now, only after clearing the cookies for this site (I use firefox), once again, and restarting comp =s

So it isn't a problem with the board, just my comp, and probably your's too Igiss =p

Anyway, it's fine if it works for you, I'll tolerate with myself logging every time if no one else suffers from same inconvenience.

All the older Invision boards don't require the Admin to log in with each visit, so I don't see why this version should be any differet. It's gotta be something to do with your system me thinks... You've deleted all cookies referring to cyodiil.net? What browser do you use? If your using Firefox you have to delete the cookies in Firefox itself, not the way you would with Internet Explorer.. Appart from that im baffled =s

I have Internet Explorer (or, to be precise, Avant Browser based on IE engine). Didn't have many problems with cookies before, on the old Discovery board (Invision 2.0.4) everything worked fine.

We'll see. Anyway, report problems, if there will be any, in this thread .

If anyone is having problems with logging in try deleting all cookies for cyrodiil.net and see if that fixes it, since it did for me.

I installed, just for the fun of it, the Avant browser, and had no problems in logging in here and being remembered. So it's apparently not the browser. I think.

I really doubt it is because you're Root Admin. It has not been heard of really, this kind of security meassure. I am remembered on this board, and I really doubt the problem is with Invision. I'd think it's got something to do with your browser. I don't know though....

Yup. Cleared my cookies, then set it to allow all, then tried again. No dice.

I use Firefox and had the same prob until I deleted cookies for cyrodiil.net, now it works fine. Sure you cleared Firefox's cookies and not just internet explorer's via internet options? Those cookies have no effect with the workings of Firefox.

Log into your account, delete Firefox's cookies for cyrodiil.net, close window/tab, open new window/tab and go directly to the forums index, log in again and choose to remember; should work after that.

Well since the move I have had to log in every time as well. I'm using Firefox and Crono's trick didn't work for me...

The board remembers me when I log in but there are other boards that I go to that can never remember me, no matter what I do. Actually Discovery GC was one of them so I'm glad that the problem hasn't followed me here

This surely has something to do with your cookie settings. Actually cookies tend to cause much more problems then they should, though I rarely encounter any.

If I close the tab with CC open in it, then after a while I will have to log in again, but that really isn't a problem, since I have the details saved in my password manager anyway, I just hit login and away I go.

I've changed cookie settings. According to IPB support, everything should be fine now, but you will have to log in once more. Hopefully only once.

Though I cannot guarantee anything, they say it should be ok. Let's check.
