Best Singleplayer RPGs

Great to see another retro gamer, so i'm not the only one here =p

Crono, you mentioned you like Secret of Mana. You absolutely MUST download and play Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2). I'm not sure how much you know about emulators so if you already know this stuff then my apologies. I figured I would post it anyway.

hehe I actually own both Secret of Mana 1 and 2 on SNES, and yes they are absolutely brilliant games, second to only Chrono Trigger =p

Can anyone say Fallout? Easily my favorite game of all time. There was just so much game there for its time.

Other than that, I like the standards, FF IV, VI, VIII and X. Crono Trigger. Super Mario RPG. Starocean 2. Dragon Quest/Warrior I-IV.

On the pc side again, Diablo 2 has probably gotten more playtime than anything else. But, Neverwinter Nights, Baldurs Gate 2, and Ultima/Ultima Online have all gotten some good playtime.

In theory I could say Fallout. But it would be more appropriate in a thread called "Worst Singleplayer RPGs" 

Oh yeah, forgot all about these RPGs:

Amberstar, The Temple of Elemental Evil, Pool of Radiance 1+2, Ultima 1-9, Curse of the Azure Bonds, Secret of the Silver Blades, Champions of Krynn, Death Knights of Krynn, Dark Queen of Krynn, Gateway to the Savage Frontier, Treasures of the Savage Frontier, Pools of Darkness, and Whale's Voyage.

Doh, also forgot about Ishar 1-3. Silly me.

I think I have drunk too much latley i can only think of 6,  I know there are more out there but I either dont remeber the name or dont even remeber playing them.

xit, you like all those mediocre Krynn rpg's and not fallout? Pools of Darkness? Shame, shame, shame. Same with Temple of Elemental Evil.

I liked the old AD&D RPGs, the first  RPGs I ever played actually, yeah, sure there are other RPGs there are better. Actually a lot, but I still like them. I don't like Fallout. Don't even have anything nice to say about really. Except maybe that it isn't installed on my hard drive.

Diablo 2 is one of the best non-TES-RPGs I have been playing. Not that many quests, and the movement seems pathetic now, but that game had so much in it. So many different items, creatures, and it was fun. Not better than new games, but I love it....
