I'll both make mods, and use other peoples mods.

Hmm, wouldn't it have made sense to include an option that said you'd both make mods and use other peoples mods?

Same here.  I currently have about 5 little "tweak" mods, a house mod and a half finished quest type mod.

I've downloaded and activated about 15 - 20 mods from others.  I like, Natural wildlife, Black Glass armor and weapons and intro tutorial skipper as well as the quest bug fixes.  I'll probably get a mod for the grey cowl when I reach that point.

I looked at a few of the alternative levelling/advancement mods and tried one but I didn't like it because it didn't tell me how far along till next level up and then I couldn't seem to make sense of my attribute settings didn't seem right after a couple of levels.  Generally it seemed I was too powerful and the game was too easy.

ayone else find some good Mods to recommend?

right now i'm using 2 mods, one to make your bounty decrease over time, and another to make most of the females who aren't wearing enchanted clothing topless.

I never was that great and making mods for Morrowind, so I think I'll stick with playing mods that other people have made.

I usually never mod games. I thought Oblivion was great as it is. Then I come upon this website, a wiki page of mods and decided to try it. Now im hooked. Some modders have made amasing work improving gameplay and looks of the game. I've created a new topic for those who want to discuss more in detail about which mods they like.

I like mods that increase gameplay experience, by adding new quests new features and items.

One thing i dont like are mods that make the game easier or unbalanced.
The mod that i like the most at the moment is the one that allows you to recrute an army and give them orders and such.

The problem is I lost it when I re installed windows after I got a virus and I hadnt yet backed up the mod.
I have been looking for that one mod for ages and yet can not find it. Partially due to the fact that I cant remember the name. Im really annoyed.

Any way back on topic.

I think that mods that are intended to increase and prolong gameplay are good but those that are akin to cheating are annoying to me and I am annoyed occasionally. But I guess to each his own.

Hi, yes I am totally immersed in Oblivion and do have one or two mods which i think enhance the game enormously.  Not the cheats whichg which make one Godlike etc but those such as 'Bag of Holding' which i have no problems using.

I have no experience ever of 'modding' but do intend to have a try at creating one eventually , I have always wondered why one can't use a  sword/spear/lance/bow  from horseback , seeing that there are ridable horses now in the game.
Oblivion seems to me to be infinately open to everchanging and growing life, quests etc and I think it will outgrow the original version, similar to the 'Neverending Story' idea.

Yeah using weapons on horse back would be pretty sweet.

I do intend to try and make a small modification of my own, but I think ill only try for small tweeks and such.

I both use mods and create them.

When I use them though, I always check them to make sure that nothing is"cheat like" about it. Meaning, no insane weapons, over powered allies, etc.

The same goes for when I create them.

Oh, and in my oblvion, nothing is free, everything requires either money or a quest or something.
