I just started the game today and it is a lot of fun....but I was wondering at what level I can start adding stats?  I am currently level 3 and haven't been asked to add any to my stat points yet, do I need to talk with someone first or is there a certain level I need to hit first?

Every time you level up from level 1 onwards you should be prompted to add extra attribute points after you sleep.

In addition, each time your character gains a level you get points for certain attributes depending on how hard you worked each attribute's governing skills. So if you reached level 3 by training your skills from an NPC only, you won't see any extra attribute modifiers appear on your level up prompt, therefore will gain only 1 point in the 3 attributes of your choice.

hmm something is wrong then, I got out of the sewer are and first thing I did was cross the river and fought off some bandits, then more in the crypt there.  I leveled three times.....each time I leveled I rested in a bed, never once was I asked to add stats.....but under my character screen I am level 3

Yep that was the problem lol, my friend installed the game and I didn't know but he also installed a +5 all attributes mod, something with that made it to where the game didn't even prompt me to add stats.  It is all fixed now thanks a lot Smiley now to waste all of my free time!  Smiley

When you woke up from sleeping you should of be sent to a screen with all your attributes listed,,,  any bonus points would of been beside each skill,, i.e. +1, +2,, up to +5.  If no bonus points were there you still would be able to advance them by one point by choosing three skill to improve.  Using on your Major skill will get you advanced quick but will not get you any bonus points for advancing.  try looking back at a posting called "leveling up, best way to level up", its under this topic, it has a better explanation on how to get the most out of leveling up.
