I already have mine pre-ordered. Apparently if you pre-order through Toys'R'Us (in Australia only) you get a free random game included -- not just Wii Sports which comes bundled with the console itself. So good news for the world, and especially good news for those in Australia, like me =]

The price is nice,

I just wonder about the games. Its been 10 years since I've enjoyed a nintendo game. I've played with demos of gaming shops and was disgusted. I was almost happy that Nintendo lost 65% of its market share in those years. Serves them right.

Now, its never too late to learn and this can be a new start. A revolution? But my bet is that they continue to aim for that special market that they served so well recently. Developping revolutionary and specialised controlers for example.

I'm really disapointed with the consoles these last years. If the graphics are good, the gameplay sucks, and vice versea. I guess if I had a free 52" plasma TV I'd buy a console but don't know which one. One with DVD function I guess - not Wii.

I don't like consoles myself, mainly because I prefer computer games as they are much more dynamic and tweakable etc (Oblivion for example, compared to the Xbox360 version -- and they call that thing a next-gen console xD). I think consoles are just another capitalistic strategy myself. But the thing is, Nintendo have a track record of great consoles and even better games. Over the past years they have offered me something that I cannot find with a computer. I have owned every single Nintendo console that has ever been for this reason.

Loknar you simply must not have played the right Nintendo games the past 10 years, or you may have vastly different ideals to what you rate as a good game compared to most other people who have experienced Nintendo games themselves. If you are looking for gameplay, then Nintendo is the way. If you are looking for the same old run-of-the-mill, dull games with nothing but eye-candy and something to make use of that monstrous, overpriced plasma/LCD screen, then Xbox360 and PS3 is the way. It's that simple.

Hm,

Very good point. Well, I did not follow the console news until the XBox was released, so I'm no expert.

I have to agree that Nintendo was always original. Everyone has a PC nowadays, so I guess they want to provide a kind of entertainment not possible on a PC.
