Just got Oblivion. I know many will be concerned about their puter being able to run it and the normal "bugs" found with a new game.

However, I am really disappointed with the map. It doesn't even show the whole landmass.
Nor does it show any places in the area of the map.

The map in Morrowind may not have been the best but at least it was the whole area and showed where places could be found.

I understand cost of and time, but a map of the whole area would have really be a plus feature.  Sad

I thought it showed the whole map when attempting to use the fast travel feature.. I could be wrong though, as I only briefly saw this on Gamespot's streaming 12 hour Oblivion marathon demo the other day.. haven't got the game yet for myself, still waiting =[

I've yet to find a way to see the entire map, although I might be using it wrong. One day I'll actually look at the manual and figure this stuff out Tongue

Press Tab, then on the little compass part at the bottom right of the management screen. There are 'tabs' across the bottom of the map. The Astrolabe looking one is the local map. The World/Star looking one is the world map. You can scroll the world map by left clicking and hold/dragging the map. You can left-shift+click and put your own marker on the map and left clicking on a highlighted location lets you fast travel there.

Adding to Beladan:  You can fast travel to any main city OR any place you've previously discovered, dungeons and whatnot.  If you haven't discovered the place yet, you have to walk there.

I printed that map out on four pieces of A4 cardboard and laminated it, now I have it hanging up in my room next to my computer.

It looks really cool as well as having practical uses for when playing the game.     Tongue

AssasinForever, I wish we could combine the best of your map and this one.

The picture of that one seems better than yours and there are more items. But that one (flash) has many obvious flaws tho.
